BH Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipstick

Recently I bought the BH Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks. If you want to watch an audio swatch test go to my YouTube Channel here

Now, the reason I purchased these colors specifically was they were named after 60's TV show characters. Most of them are from the show Bewitched, except one. It's from the show I Dream of Jeannie.

Here is a swatch and review of 9 of the BH Cosmetics colors. I hope to get more in the future so I can do the entire set.

Jeannie
Dusty Mauve

Clara
A dusty red brown, darkest color in the set

Endora
 Mauve pink.

Samantha
Pale light pink almost a skin tone color. Really light against my skin on my mouth.

Serena
Coral, or a pink-orange (Personal favorite)

Tabitha
Light, Bright Pink. Another one that is almost too light for my skin tone.

Gladys
Bright Purple

So as far as a wear test, they aren't transfer proof even after they've dried. Now, they won't rub off per se once they're dry, but they don't hold up very well against eating. I was always left with the outer edge intact, but that was about it.

I like the range of the colors I got. (I will be getting more hopefully soon.) However, the colors in the tube aren't as accurate as what actually goes on your mouth. Especially with the lighter colors. Some of them are kind of patchy--Tabitha, Samantha, and Gladys. They kind of dry hard on the lips, but I think it's kind of that way with all matte lipsticks, but they aren't sticky around the mouth.

They come in a 0.12 oz tube and a doe foot applicator. Currently they're on sale for
$8.50, but I think they're originally $11.00 per tube.

I like the formula enough because it just doesn't wear away even with licking your lips. It even can withstand lip balm, which I have to put on because I can't stand the thought craggy lips.

Enjoy.

Shannxo Duo Chrome Glam

Start by putting tape at an angle from the corner of your eyes. This keeps shadow from going everywhere, and acts as guide to keep the lines nice and sharp.
Next, take a black pencil eyeliner and cover your entire lid with it, blending it what a dense flat brush up to your crease.
I used my Ulta "Black Out" eye pencil.
Next, take the yellow color on a fluffy eye shadow brush and put it in the crease and up to the transition area.

Take the red color on another blending brush and apply that to crease. Blend until your hands bleed.

Next take the dark color at the bottom on an angled blending brush and apply that to the "Outer V" area.
Now take the duo chrome on a packing brush and pack that onto the lid area. You can stop here or you can add white shimmer over top on the inner to middle third of the eye.
Then take a small packing brush and place the shimmer on the inner corner and on the brow bone.

Again, take the yellow and a fluffy brush and diffuse the around the eye to get a good transition between the colors.

Take your eyeliner and wing it out as far as you like. Take the tape off and start on the under eye. Fill in the water line with a black pencil liner.
Take the darkest last shade on an eyeliner brush and blend out the eyeliner on the lid.

Then take another angle brush and put the yellow under the eye. Then apply the red color, but place the brush hairs flat against the face rather than at an angle. This will bring the eye shadow down more and give it a smokey look. Do the same with the dark charcoal shade.

Add Mascara and Done.

For the lip colors first apply dark red shade that's at the bottom middle of the palette. Then over it apply the first shade in the middle row.

DONE!

Shannxo Palette Review

So for roughly a year now I've been watching Shannxo on Youtube. She's one of my favorite Beauty Youtubers. A while ago, she came out with her own palette in compilation with BH Cosmetics. It's a really nice palette that comes with 9 eye shadows and 9 lipsticks.
Normally it retails for roughly $22.00, but I bought it on sale on $14.50. I felt like it was a pretty good buy, even if I had paid $22.00 it would still only be $1.23 per color. Buying it on sale, I only paid $0.81 per color.

They're clinically and allergy tested. Non-irritating and paraben free. I want to say, she says it's not tested on animals; but I don't remember. To see her debut palette video click here

It comes in a dual sided compact with the lipsticks on one side and lipsticks on the other. I like how small it is, which makes it easy to take with you in a purse. (That's what I did as I was doing my 10 Looks.)
First well talk about the lipsticks.

The lipsticks come in a wide variety colors. Pretty much all the colors general you need for nearly every look, unless you're doing something wild, but even then. They have almost a gloss texture to me; rather, it's not like an actual lipstick. You can use your finger or a brush to put it on. Personally, I prefer a brush, just because my I don't like to stain my fingers. (95% of the time I get anything on my fingers on my clothes.)

The colors don't necessarily have staying power, but they work a lot like a lip stain. They do have a lot of transfer, but you will still retain the color on your lips, especially the darker ones. The lipsticks are supposed to be moisturizing, and I will say yes, they feel really good on the lips and have a nice shine.

Next the Eye shadows.

These are all pretty pigmented. They're all pretty colors, but I wish there were a little more variety. There are a lot of shimmers and browns. It does have one due chrome. The 8th shadow either has a rust color or a green color, depending on the light and if you have another color under it. This is good for doing a lot of neutral looks. You can get a few more dramatic looks, but I feel like all the warm browns just naturally lend themselves to neutrals, at least they do to me.

Another nice thing is you can use the second color as a highlight. It's really pretty that way too. So I either use it for that or for the inner corner. So that's a neat little two-for.
They have really good staying power. I can wear them nearly all day with little wear off--and that's with out a primer.

So I'm pretty satisfied with this buy. I like how easy it is to transport nearly your entire face with you. I intend to take it when I travel.
